The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

It is in our opinion that the work is in good condition. The work is framed. Canvas is taut and paint layer is stable. Minor dots of paint loss, cracks and craquelures predominantly on the upper part have been filled, retouched and consolidated by professional conservator. The above retouching is apparent under ultraviolet light. Visible only upon close inspection, faint and stable hairline cracks and craquelures scattered occasionally on paint surface. Minor signs of wrinkling on the lower half of the work, which are consistent with the artist's choice of medium and technique. Negligible spots of discolored varnish on the lower left side. Minor spots of crushed impasto and impasto loss scattered occasionally.
