The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The canvas, stretcher and attachments are in generally good condition. There is some rubbing to the extreme edges and corners, with some associated minute paint losses, most notably towards the upper corners. There are some minor paint losses in places. There are stretcher marks visible. There is an impact craquelure along the lower left edge, with some associated paint losses. Examination under ultraviolet light shows no indication of inpainting. It is our opinion that the work is in good condition.
