The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The work is structurally sound. There is surface dust and dirt in places. There are handling marks in places. There is staining in places. There are some minor material losses in places, predominantly to the protruding parts and extreme edges. There are some discoloured cosmetic retouchings visible in places. When examined under ultraviolet light there are traces of inpainting, predominantly along the lower horizontal edge. The work is slightly warped.
