The canvas, stretcher and attachments are in generally good condition. The work is structurally sound. There are some pinpoint sized brown accretions in places. There is some soft verical staining visible along the entire height in the centre of the canvas. There is some yellowing visible on the border between the white and the umber passages, presumably coherent with the artist's working process. Examination under ultraviolet light shows no indication of inpainting.
