The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The burlap, stretcher and attachments are in generally good condition. There is some soft surface dust and dirt in places. The impasto is well preserved. There is a horizontal stretcher mark visible in the centre area, presumably coherent with the artist's working process. Examination under ultraviolet light shows no indication of inpainting. It is our opinion that the work is in very good condition.
