The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The canvas, stretcher and attachments are in generally good condition. There is a soft abrasion in the centre area. There is minor rubbing visible to black passage. There is some soft white staining in places. When examined under ultraviolet light, there are inpainting visible to the white passage, presumably towards the extreme edges. It is our opinion that the work is in good condition.
