The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The work is structurally sound. The canvas is slack to the stretcher. There are surface irregularities, such as, wrinkles, punctures, folds and staining in places, coherent with the artist's working process and intentions. There are handling marks in places. Examination under ultraviolet light shows no indication of inpainting. It is our opinion that the work is in good condition.
