The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The canvas, stretcher and attachments are in generally good condition. The work is structurally sound. All elements appear to be present. The two rectangular canvases are slack to the stretcher. There are stretcher marks visible. There are some soft canvas draws to the corners of the light blue canvas. There are some soft indents in places of the light blue canvas. There is some soft staining in places of the light blue canvas. The four triangular parts are canvas laid on plywood. There is some soft surface dust and dirt in places. There are some pinpoint size brown accretions in places. There is some minor rubbing and some signs of wear to the extreme edges and corners. Examination under ultraviolet light shows no indication of inpainting. It is our opinion that the work is in good condition.
