The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas, stretcher and attachments are in generally good condition. There is some staining in places, predominantly in the upper right quadrant. There are some handling marks in places, most notably along the right vertical edge. There are stretcher marks visible along the right vertical edge. There are canvas draws in the lower right corner. The canvas is slightly wavy along the upper right horizontal edge. There is some rubbing to the extreme edges and corners. There is are soft abrasion in places, most notable in the lower left corner and upper centre. There is an indent in the upper centre with associated craquelures and minute material losses.
