The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas, stretcher and attachments are in generally good condition. There is paper tape along the turnover edges. There are some craquelures in places, slightly tenting, predominantly in the blue impasto in the left area. The impasto is slightly flattened in centre area, otherwise the impasto is well preserved. Examination under ultraviolet light shows no indication of inpainting. It is our opinion that the work is in good condition.
