The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas, stretcher and attachments are in generally good condition. The sheet is laid down to the underlying canvas. There is tape along the turnover edges. There is some soft surface dust and dirt in places. There are some pinpoint spots of foxing visible to the red impasto in the right area. There are some vertical hairline craquelures towards the upper horizontal edge, with some associated paint losses. There are a few vertical hairline craquelures in the upper left quadrant. There is a semi circular impact craquelure in the pink passage in the lower left quadrant. There is a minor material loss in the upper left corner. Examination under ultraviolet light shows no indication of inpainting.
