The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas, stretcher and attachments are in generally good condition. The canvas is slack to the stretcher. There are stretcher marks visible. There is a slight canvas draw to the upper left corner. There is some wear towards the edges, with some associated paint losses, predominantly towards the right edge. The impasto is well preserved. Examination under ultraviolet light shows no indication of inpainting. It is our opinion that the work is in good condition.
