The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
(i) All elements appear to be present. The work is not in working condition, in keeping with the artist's intentions. There are surface irregularities and cracks in places, coherent with the working process. There are handling marks. There are spots of oxidation to the disk. There are other defects in places.
(ii) Not examined out of the frame. All elements appear to be present and adhere well to the underlying support. The sheet has yellowed. The work is discoloured and the ink has faded.
