The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas, stretcher and attachments are in generally good condition. There is paper tape along the turnover edges. There are signs of wear and tear along the edges, most notably along the upper horizontal edge and to the lower right corner. There are two minute material losses in the upper left quadrant. There is a semi circular hairline tear in the centre left area. Examination under ultraviolet light shows no indication of inpainting. It is our opinion that the work is in good condition.
