Invasion

The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas, stretcher and attachments are in generally good condition. The canvas is slack to the stretcher. There are some soft abrasions in places. There are some brown accretions in places. There is some soft surface dust and dirt in places. There are some surface irregularities in places, coherent with the artist's working process. Examination under ultraviolet light shows no indication of inpainting. It is our opinion that the work is in good condition.
