The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas, stretcher and attachments are in generally good condition. The impasto is well preserved. There is some soft surface dust and dirt in places. There are some pinpoint-sized brown accretions in the lower area. There is a vertical craquelure of circa 4.5cm. to the lover left vertical edge. There is a impact craquelure of circa 4 x 4cm. in the centre right area. There is some minor wear to the extreme edges. Examination under ultraviolet light shows no indication of inpainting. It is our opinion that the work is in good condition.
