A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The canvas, stretcher and attachments are in generally good condition. The canvas is slightly wavy. There are some craquelures in places. There are few minor paint losses in places. There is minor rubbing to the extreme edges, predominantly to the lower left. There is some minor wear to the corners, with some associated paint losses to the upper left corner. There is some soft surface dirt in places. Examination under ultraviolet light shows no indication of inpainting. It is our opinion that the work is in good condition.
