Lot Essay
Over the span of three years, Calla Henkel and Max Pitegoff operated TV Bar in Berlin, utilizing the space as a set to film an episodic series titled "Paradise," set in 2023. TV Bar was conceived with dual purposes: one as a fictional setting for their series and the other as a public establishment, both sharing the same infrastructure. As a result, the narrative of "Paradise" inevitably intertwined with the real-time events unfolding within the bar, blurring the lines between fiction and reality. It had always been their intention to close in or near 2023 when the chosen future became the present.
Henkel & Pitegoff will be featured in Kunstverein's 2025 program.

The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The sheet is offered without a frame. The sheet undulates. The upper right corner is softly folded. There is a repaired horizontal tear of circa 2.5cm. along the upper right vertical edge, most likely studio related. It is our opinion that the work is in good condition.
