The canvas is clean and taut. Very minor surface dust. Visible only upon close inspection, tiny paint losses and faint scratches scatter occasionally, which are natural results of the artist’s working method. Visible only upon very close inspection, stable and minor cracks and craquelures scatter occasionally, which are natural results of the artist’s working method. Negligible lifting, tears and material losses (very occasionally) of the oil skin, predominantly near the extreme edges of the work, which are natural results due to the artist’s choice of material and the original intention of the artist’s technique. When examined under ultraviolet light, there is no apparent retouching shown.
