The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

It is our opinion that the work is in overall good condition. The canvas is clean and taut. The colours are fresh and vibrant. The paint layer and impasto are in good condition. The work was inspected inside the frame. Sides of the work cannot be checked due to framing status. Slightly abraded extreme margins and corners. Visible only upon very close inspection, a few stable hairline cracks and craquelures scatter, predominantly on impasto areas, around the corners and lower part. Minor and stable crushed impasto tips could be observed only upon very close inspection. When examined under ultraviolet light, no apparent retouching is visible.
