A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
It is in our opinion that the work is in overall good condition. The work was inspected inside the frame. Sides of the works cannot be checked due to framing status. Paint layers are stable and impastos are in very good condition. The colour is vibrant. Very slightly dusty surface. Minor wears and slight abrasions infrequently to the corners and edges. Hairline cracks and craquelures scatter very occasionally on impasto areas and infrequently to the sides. Pinpoint accretion dots scatter predominantly on the lower part. Stable and tiny paint loss spots on lower left corner. Minor and stable crushed impasto tips could be observed only upon very close inspection. When examined under ultraviolet light, no apparent retouching shows.
