The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

It is in our opinion that the work is in overall good condition. The work was inspected within its frame, the sides and the reverse thus could not be checked. The board is straight. Discoloured varnish and light surface dust are intermittently to the work. Minor paint crack on the head of the dove above, and minor spot paint loss on the tail feather of the dove on the proper right. When inspected under ultraviolet light, no apparent signs of inpainting show.
