The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

It is in our opinion that the work is in overall good condition. The work was inspected inside the frame, sides of the work cannot be checked due to framing status. Slightly abraded sides and corners. Faint tension and hairline cracks and craquelures scatter, occasionally associated with pinpoint paint losses. Traces of yellowed paint medium scatter. Minor surface dust and dirt. Minor and stable crushed impasto tips could be observed only upon very close inspection. Stable flaking could be observed very occasionally, predominantly on impasto areas. When examined under ultraviolet light, there is no apparent retouching.
