The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

It is in our opinion that the work is in overall good condition. The work was examined and restored by the Yayoi Kusama Studio.

The work was inspected out of the frame. Sides cannot be checked due to the tape fixed onto the sides. Tiny dots of greyish green glue could be observed occasionally on the sides upon very close inspection, which are due to the side tape status. The canvas is clean and taut. The paint layer is in good condition.

The below issues are only visible upon very close inspection. Slightly abraded corners and extreme margins. Stable and very minor craquelures could be observed very occasionally on extreme margins. Minor dents occasionally on the extreme margins. Slight abrasions very occasionally to the surface. Slightly yellowed extreme margins due to aging – the Yayoi Kusama Studio suggested this shall remain as it is. Faint lines of uneven paint colour could be observed around the pumpkin, which are not considered as condition issues and do not disturb the overall appreciation of the painting. Pinpoint dirt dots scatter very occasionally to surface. Two negligibly faint lines of scratches on upper right. When examined under ultraviolet light, a few traces of retouching could be observed, which are executed by the Yayoi Kusama Studio.
