Succubes

The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Gouache, huile, encre et pastel sur papier marouflé sur toile (probablement par l’artiste). Du papier de bordage le long des bords. Quelques résidus de peinture dorée d’un ancien cadre le long de l’extrémité des bords. Le pastel est fixé. De très rares lignes d’abrasion de surface à peine visibles par endroits. Une fine ligne horizontale d’enfoncement vers la partie supérieure du bord droit. Un petit résidu de bois vers le coin inférieur gauche, datant probablement du temps de l’exécution. Le médium est vif et frais sur l’ensemble de la composition. Sous réserve de ce qui précède et selon notre opinion, cette œuvre apparaît en très bonne condition générale.

Gouache, oil, ink and pastel on paper laid down on canvas (probably by the artist). Some masking tape along the edges. A few gold paint remnants along the extreme edges from a previous frame. Pastel is fixed. A very few barely visible lines of surface abrasion in places. A soft horizontal fine line of dent towards the upper part of the right edge. One small wood remnant towards the lower left corner, probably dating from the time of execution. Medium is strong and fresh throughout. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that this work appears to be in generally very good condition.
