The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Plume et encre de Chine et fusain et estompe sur papier. Le revers de la feuille est maintenu par du ruban adhésif à trois endroits sur le bord supérieur. Le bord droit est irrégulier. Brunissement le long des bords dû au montage. La feuille est insolée avec quelques légères piqûres par endroits. Quelques petits points de tache par endroits. Trois petites froissures vers le menton du modèle. Deux minuscules enfoncements vers le côté droit du bord supérieur. Sous réserve de ce qui précède et selon notre opinion, cette œuvre apparait en bonne condition générale.

Pen and India ink and charcoal and estompe on paper. The reverse of the sheet is taped in three places along the upper edge to the mount. The right edge is uneven. The sheet is mat- and light-stained with some pale spots of foxing in places. A few small spots of stains in places. Three small creases towards the figure's chin. Two minute dents towards the right part of the upper edge. Subject to the foregoing, it is in our opinion that this works appears to be in generally good condition.
