The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Graphite sur papier teinté. Le revers de la feuille est maintenu par des charnières à deux endroits sur le bord supérieur. La feuille provient d'un carnet à dessins comme en témoigne le bord droit irrégulier. Légère décoloration de la feuille, principalement le long des bords. La feuille est très légèrement insolée associé à des piqûres par endroits. Quelques rares et légères taches par endroits, certaines correspondant probablement à des taches d’eau et d’autres à la composition du papier. Une ou deux froissures à peine visibles dans le coin inférieur droit. Le graphite est vif sur l’ensemble de la composition. Sous réserve de ce qui précède et selon notre opinion, cette œuvre apparait en bonne condition générale.

Graphite on tinted paper. The reverse of the sheet is hinged to the mount in two places at the upper edge. The sheet stems from the artist's sketchbook, as visible from the uneven right edge. Some pale discoloration of the sheet, mainly along the edges. Some minor light staining with associated spots of foxing in places. A very few pale stains in places, some probably corresponding to water stains and some to the composition of the paper. One or two barely visible creases at the lower right corner. The pencil is strong throughout. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that this work appears to be in generally good condition.
