The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Plume et encre de Chine, pastel, aquarelle et graphite (recto); graphite (verso) sur papier. Le pastel est fixé. La feuille est libre dans son cadre. Les bords sont non ébarbés. Légère insolation associée à une piqûre dans le quart inférieur droit. Au revers : deux petites zones de résidus de papier le long du bord supérieur résultants d’un ancien montage. Sous réserve de ce qui précède et selon notre opinion, cette œuvre apparait en bonne condition générale.

Pen and India ink, pastel, watercolour and graphite (recto); graphite (verso) on paper. Pastel is fixed. The sheet is free-floating. The edges are deckled. Some pale light-staining with one associated spot of foxing in the lower right quadrant. On the reverse: two small areas of paper remnants along the upper edge from an old mount. Subject to the foregoing, it is in our opinion that this works appears to be in generally good condition.
