"Negli anni Novanta i primi computer stavano entrando nel mercato. Uno dei miei amici era un vero fanatico e mi fece comprare un computer, un Macintosh IIx. Iniziai a trascorrere tutte le mie notti su questo dispositivo, esplorando quel nuovo mondo. […] A poco a poco, questa interfaccia digitale diventò a me familiare, e volevo usarla nella mia arte. Ho realizzato una serie di stampe e dipinti che rappresentavano i pixel, e poi ho iniziato a usare le tessere"

"Back in the 1990s, the first computers were coming to market. One of my friends was a real geek and he made me buy a computer, a Macintosh IIfx. I started to spend all my nights on this machine exploring that new world. […] Little by little, this digital aesthetic became familiar to me, and I wanted to use it in my art. I made a series of prints and paintings representing pixels, and then began to use tiles"
