A inizio anni Settanta, l'artista realizza i primi lavori con pietre di diverse caratteristiche fisiche e cromatiche; nell'autobiografia scrive di essersi 'sentito molto fortunato a entrare nella scultura in marmo con tutta la variabilità del colore che altri scartano come disturbo all'unicità plastica'. E saranno in marmi policromi anche le opere della serie 'Paracarri' (1974): lo scultore raccoglie una documentazione dei più significativi dissuasori in pietra tipici delle città italiane e, volendo dare risonanza ai capolavori di questo soggetto mai rilevato nei testi di architettura, riproduce in scala ridotta questa selezione di dieci opere che concentra anche geograficamente da Como a Palermo il senso della diffusione del simbolo fallico, espressione del potere patriarcale maschile. Ogni esemplare può essere considerato un unicum irripetibile perché eseguito quasi sempre con marmi diversi.

In the early 1970s, the artist creates his first works with stones of different physical and chromatic characteristics; in the autobiography he writes that he 'felt very lucky to be able to enter the marble sculpture with all its variations of colour that others discard as a disturbance to plastic uniqueness'. And the works of the 'Paracarri' series (1974) will also be in polychrome marble: the sculptor collects a documentation of the most significant stone bollards typical of Italian cities and, wanting to give resonance to the masterpieces of this never-found in the architectural texts subject, he reproduces on a reduced scale this selection of ten works that concentrate, also geographically, from Como to Palermo the sense of the diffusion of the phallic symbol, an expression of male patriarchal power. Each example can be considered an unrepeatable unicum because it is almost always executed with different marbles.
