The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Lungo il margine esterno sinistro è visibile una garza di rinforzo tra la tela e il telaio.
Esaminata alla luce ultravioletta, presenta tracce di restauri lungo i margini orizzontali, in corrispondenza degli angoli e al centro del petto della figura (quest'ultimo visibile anche alla luce naturale).
Tenuto conto di quanto sopra, è nostra opinione che l'opera sia in condizioni di conservazione buone.

The work is not lined.
Light superficial cracks and stretcher mark upper centre.
Small paint losses along edges and corners.
A reinforcement gauze between canvas and stretcher is visible along the left external edge.
When examined under ultraviolet light, there is indication of inpainting along the horizontal edges, corresponding to the corners and to the centre of the figure's chest (the latter also visibile under natural light).
Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally good conditions.
