Opera rinvenuta presso lo studio-abitazione del maestro al momento della sua morte, il 28 novembre 1998. Ancorché chiaramente non concluso, il dipinto (realizzato quasi come impronta in un sudario) esplicita i connotati delle opere estreme: sommarietà ed essenzialità del segno, accenno all'incipiente metamorfosi del corpo umano in architettura, uso del non finito, forte pathos e scarto linguistico rispetto alle culture figurative del suo tempo.

A work found in the master's home and studio at the time of his death on 28 November 1998. Even though evidently unfinished, the painting (created almost like an imprint on a shroud) displays the characteristics of the artist's last works: stark and summary execution, indications of the incipient metamorphosis of the human body into architecture, incompleteness, powerful drama and a significant expressive deviation with respect to the leading figurative trends of his day.
