L'azzeramento emozionale porta inevitabilmente Rotella a capire che il suo uso, nell'arte, seppur personalizzato dall'artista, non può evitare un riflesso [...] sul significante stesso: il manifesto. Questo processo di scavo linguistico sull'oggetto culturale, il manifesto, avviene seguendo le procedure 'artistiche' indicate da Burri e da Fontana. Il primo spinge la materia a parlare per sé e a rivelare una sua energia, il secondo ne incide, con il taglio o con il buco, la superficie, per trovare uno spazio 'altro'. Rotella compie un'integrazione e applica entrambi i processi all'impasto cartaceo del manifesto strappato, il décollage.

The emotional resetting leads Rotella inexorably to understand that its use, in art, even if personalised by the artist, can't avoid a reflection [...] on the meaning itself: the poster. This process of linguistic research on the cultural object, the poster, happens following the 'artistic' procedures pointed out by Burri and Fontana. The first push the matter to speak by itself in order to reveal its energy, the second incises, with cuts and holes, the surface, in order to find a 'different' space. Rotella completes an integration by applying both the process to the paper impasto on the torn manifesto, creating the décollage.
