Non interpreta alcun flusso se non quello dei materiali (tele e caolino, cotone, fibre di lana, cloruro di cobalto, pigmento fluorescente). Il dipinto si rifugia in loro, come se essi fossero correnti sotterranee che nutrono tutte lo stesso fiume - l'acqua senza riflesso o immagine a parte se stessa.

The Achrome is a painting that forfeits any mimetic value. It interprets no flux but that of the materials (canvas and kaolin, cotton, woolen fiber, cobalt chloride, fluorescent pigment). It even takes refuge in them, as if they were underground currents all feeding one and the same river - a water without reflection or image aside from itself.
