Per me si è sempre trattato di imparare, di fare qualcosa. Da bambino mi chiedevo come fosse possibile tracciare una linea dritta o sfumare un cielo. I miei primi orizzonti erano azzurri, non osavo usare altri colori ma poi ho imparato, perché esistono i tramonti, i crepuscoli e le notti. Oggi si scorda che pensare o sentire non significa sapersi esprimere. Si tratta sempre di fare qualcosa. Adesso sono impegnato in un quadro: di notte, in macchina, i fari squarciano il buio proiettando la luce solo sulle corsie dell'asfalto. Non è facile, alla fine si tratta di un quadro quasi totalmente nero. Il primo che ho dipinto non era male, il secondo migliore. Il settimo e l'ottavo saranno ancora diversi. È sempre una sfida, una ricerca costante nel fare.

For me it was always about learning, about doing something. As a child I wondered how it was possible to draw a straight line or blur a sky. My first horizons were blue, I didn't dare using other colours but then I learned, because there are sunsets, twilights and nights. Today people forget that thinking or feeling does not mean being able to express themselves. It is always about doing something. Now I am engaged in a painting: at night, in the car, the headlights slash the darkness projecting light only on the asphalt lanes. It is not easy, in the end it is an almost totally black painting. The first one I painted was not bad, the second one better. The seventh and eighth will still be different. It is always a challenge, a constant search in doing.
