The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
It is in our opinion that the work is in overall good condition. The work was inspected within its frame, the sides and the reverse thus could not be fully checked. Stable hairline craquelure intermittent to the paint surface, visible only upon very close inspection. When examined under ultraviolet light, no apparent inpainting shows.
