The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

It is in our opinion that the work is in overall good condition. Minor abrasions occasionally along the four extreme turnover edges. A few areas of faint scuff marks on the upper left corner area, right side and the lower right corner area. Upon close inspection, a minute abrasion spot associated with faint paint loss on the upper left turnover edge. Hairline cracks appear near the eye's areas of both horses and the leg area of the smaller horse, which is presumably consistent with the artist's chosen medium and the working method. When examined under ultraviolet light, no apparent retouching can be seen.
