The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The masonite is straight. The paint layer is stable. The colours are bright and vibrant with areas of strong impastos. Very fine drying craqulures, primarily on impasto areas. Minute paint losses to the lower right and centre top edges. Gilt accretion near the middle of left edge, presumably from the frame. Minute tears to the extreme upper left and right corner tips, cannot be seen when framed. When inspected under ultraviolet light, pinpoints of inpainting can be seen. It is in our opinion that the work is in overall good condition.
