The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Oil on panel. Slightly varnished. Some frame abrasion with associated areas of rubbing in places along the extreme edges. The pigments are strong throughout. Examined under ultraviolet light: no apparent retouching. It is our opinion that this work appears to be in generally very good condition.
Huile sur panneau. L'oeuvre est légèrement vernie. Abrasion due aux frottements du cadre associée à des zones d'usure par endroits le long des bords. Les pigments sont vifs et frais sur l'ensemble de la composition. Examiné à la lampe à ultra-violets: pas de retouche apparente. Selon notre opinion cette œuvre apparait en très bonne condition générale.
