The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Pencil on paper. The reverse of the sheet is hinged at the upper corners to a support. The right edge serrated and with paper remnants corresponding to the sheet being removed from the artist's sketchbook. Some soft creases in places mainly towards the right edge. Some pale light-staining with associated small spots of foxing in places. Some mat-staining along the extreme edges. A few small stains, some probably dating from the artist's studio. Medium is strong throughout. It is our opinion that this work appears to be in generally very good condition.

Graphite sur papier. Le revers de la feuille est maintenu par des charnières sur les coins supérieurs à un support. Le bord droit est irrégulier et présente des résidus de papier ce qui correspond au fait que l'oeuvre ait été retirée d'un carnet à dessins. Des légères froissures principalement le long du bord gauche. Légère insolation de la feuille associée à des petites piqûres par endroits. Léger brunissement dû au montage à l'extrémité des bords.Quelques rares petites taches, certaines probablement datant de l'atelier de l'artiste. Le medium est vif sur l'ensemble de la composition. Selon notre opinion cette œuvre apparait en très bonne condition générale.
