The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Sketchbook containing 18 drawings. Some wear and light-staining in places in the covers of the sketchbook, corresponding to age and handling. Some handling creases in places in the corners of the sketchbook covers. The sheets that were left blank by the artist have been removed by the family of the artist in accordance with the wishes of the artist's estate.
The drawings: some pale mat-staining, mainly towards the edges and with a few associated scattered spots of foxing in places. A few small creases in places in a few sheets. A few sheets with very minor small nicks and tears in places along the edges. Two drawings are detached from the sketchbook.
It is our opinion that this work appears to be in generally good condition.

Carnet comprenant 18 dessins. Des zones d'usure et de l'insolation par endroits sur les couvertures du carnet, qui correspondent à l'âge et la manipulation. Des froissures dues à la manipulation par endroits sur les coins des couvertures du carnet. Les feuilles du carnet laissées vierges par l'artiste ont été retirées par la famille de l'artiste en accord avec les souhaits de la succession Matisse.
Les dessins: léger brunissement principalement vers les bords et quelques rares piqûres par endroits. Quelques froissures sur quelques feuilles par endroits. Quelques rares feuilles avec quelques petites encoches et déchirures par endroits le long des bords. Deux dessins sont détachés du carnet.
Selon notre opinion cette œuvre apparait en bonne condition générale.
