The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Pen and India ink on the title page of Escales by André Lhote and Jean Cocteau, published in Paris in 1920. The reverse of the sheet is adhered at the upper corners to a card. The lower corners are rounded due to the work being previously removed from a book. Some pale mat-staining along the edges. The medium has smudged in places, inherent to the atist's technique. Two minute pale spots of staining in the lower right quadrant. It is our opinion that this work appears to be in generally good condition.
Plume et encre de Chine sur la page de titre d'Escales d'André Lhote et Jean Cocteau, édité à Paris en 1920. Le revers de la feuille est fixé sur les coins supérieurs à un papier fort. Les coins inférieurs sont arrondis dus au fait que l'oeuvre ait été retirée d'un livre. Léger brunissement des bords dus au montage. Le médium a bavé par endroits, inhérent à la technique de l'artiste. Deux minuscules taches pales sur le quart inférieur droit. Selon notre opinion cette œuvre apparait en bonne condition générale.
