Oil and gold leaf on panel mounted on a stretcher. Varnished. Some frame abrasion with associated areas of rubbing and spots of paint losses in places along the extreme edges. A few further paint losses in the gold leaf in places in the background. Some drying cracks in places in the the foliage and in the darker pigments of the body, inherent to the artist's technique. A few lines of craquelures in places inherent to the artist's technique. A few spots of accretion possibly due to oxidation of the gold leaf. Examined under ultraviolet light: no apparent retouching. It is our opinion that this work appears to be in generally good condition.
