The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Pen and ink on paper. The reverse of the sheet is hinged at the corners to a support. The upper edge serrated - with associated small nicks - and the lower corners are rounded, consistent with removing from the artist's sketchbook. A small spot of foxing below the '27' at the centre of the lower edge and a few minute unobtrusive further ones in places. It is our opinion that this work appears to be in generally very good condition.

Plume et encre sur papier. Le revers de la feuille est maintenu sur les coins par des charnières à un support. Le bord supérieur est perforé - et présente des encoches associées - et les coins inférieurs sont arrondis ce qui correspond au fait que l'oeuvre ait été retirée d'un carnet à dessins. Une piqûre sous le '27' au centre du bord inférieur et quelques rares autres minuscules piqûres discrètes par endroits. Selon notre opinion cette œuvre apparait en très bonne condition générale.
