The present work depicts President Franklin Delano Roosevelt's first of 31 fireside chats on March 12, 1933 in which he gave hope and reassurance to the nation in the midst of the Depression. It was featured on a commemorative first day cover commissioned by Fleetwood Division of Unicover Corporation.
