This work can be hung in its current state. There are two small reinforcements on the reverse of the lower right corner. The painting is clean and lightly varnished. The surface is a little uneven in the lower right corner. Under ultraviolet light, the original paint layer reads quite unevenly in this area with paint that reads purple under ultraviolet light. This same color can be seen on either side of the rope being held by the baby in the upper center and upper left, on the left edge and in the lower left. It is more than likely that all of this purple color corresponds to original pigment. Nonetheless, the surface in the lower right could be made to be slightly less uneven.
