Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
This report was prepare by Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc.: This work is in beautiful condition. It is painted on paper mounted onto canvas. This support is probably original to the artist or his estate. The surface is attractive. The paint layer is clean and varnished. The only retouching is two areas on the extreme upper right edge addressing some frame abrasion, and one spot in the lower left. There are other areas that read strongly under ultraviolet light, but these do not correspond to retouches. The work should be hung as is.
