This report was prepared by Tatti Art Conservation, Inc.: The above piece is in fair condition overall in appearance as there are significant areas of worn and partially stripped patina. The surface presents with a number of concerns, such as patina wear, areas of white calcium deposits (at the neck and chest of the lower fawn), spotted green oxidation at the base (specifically within the “y” shaped element at the center), and areas of organic growth within the ears and underside of the fawns which appear as light green discolorations. Structurally the piece appears to be in sound condition Areas of typical structural weakness, such as the ankles and the ears of the fawns appear to be in great order and there are no specific concerns there.
