The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

This work has never been restored. The heavy paint layer has cracked. Although this cracking has not led to instability as yet, it will sooner than later. The work should be treated to secure the paint layer, either by lining or impregnating the reverse with a non-acidic adhesive. The work has never been cleaned or varnished, and no losses or retouches are apparent.
