The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Wax lined. Minor frame abrasion along the extreme edges. Under ultraviolet light, a diagonal hairline of inpainting in the background between the two faces, a line of inpainting around the apprentice's nose, and pinpoint specks of inpainting scattered throughout, most notably at upper right and in the apprentice's face.
